MiniMAC - Beginner Friendly Event:

You've never done an adventure race before?   This is your ideal introductory level - Ireland's shortest adventure race.

And if you've never tried kayaking before, don't worry. Many of last year's competitors had no kayak experience.

You can't swim? Not a problem either. You will be wearing a buoyancy aid so no-one can sink in the water!!

It is very unlikely you'll fall in anyway yes

MiniMAC (20km): Race Starts at 11.45am

Trail Run 3.5km

Road Bike 16km

Kayak ~400m & Short Dash (Run) or Dunk (Into water) to The Finish yes

The scenic off-road trail run is a challenging 3.5 km route within the 500 acre parkland of Millstreet Country Park with the 16km on-road bike route taking you on narrow winding country roads through unspoilt mountainous forestry regions, marshalled by local supporters encouraging you on your way.

The final kayak stage is short and managable even if you have no previous kayakin experience. The sit-on-top kayaks as very safe and stable and there will be a choice of single or double boats available.

So get training to get ready to conquer MiniMAC and maybe you will catch the bug and want to conquer the Munster Monster - MonsterMAC in future years.
