2012 MonsterMAC Testimonials
Very challenging course to say the least. That second run when you reach the pile of stones and see the summit forever away is just pure heartbreak!!! Well marshalled too. Yesterday I said never again. Today, despite the ever worsening pain, I'm working out how to beat my time next year! ( training might help!)
Big thanks to you and your team for a great day again last Saturday. Super event again and great to see it gaining in popularity. Thoroughly enjoyed it and this year I hope to be able to go down stairs by Monday night!!!!
Killer of a hill to start run,but well worth the effort.well done to the organisers, feel great sense of achievement having completed the big mac sport, thanks again, roll on next year:-)

"Great race on saturday- seamless organisation and enthusiastic support. Hopefully it will become a firm fixture in the AR calendar and will be even bigger and better next year. Millstreet is a great location too."
Loved this event! There aren't enough good things I could say about it. The organisation of the race was second to none, as expected with any event run by Paul Mahon. Even though it was a new course, there was never any doubt where you needed to go, markers and marshalls at all junctions or in places you may have any doubt. Course was very challenging, especially the second cycle which nearly had me in tears but thats what you're looking from in an adventure race and this had it in abundance!
Have to reiterate about the local support - it was in a different league to some of the other races I have done. You could really tell the local community was 100% behind the event and that they were delighted we were down in their part of the world getting to see all the beautiful scenary. Craic was great during and after the event (with some much appreciated soup and sandwiches to be had as well) and had great fun out that night too. The prizes were very personal as well, each one uniquely created by one of the race organisers herself - Hilary Jenkinson. Such a nice touch and one that summed up this race. If you weren't there, make sure to add it to the calendar next year. It can be a bit of a drive down if coming from somewhere like Dublin but it was a really enjoyable weekend away.
Just a quick note to say thank you for a great event yesterdayin Millstreet. I really enjoyed (well maybe not enjoyed!!!!) the experience. It was so well run and orgainsed and there was a really positive atmosphere from registration to the delicious soup and brown bread at the end. It was very very hilly!!!!!!! I love my water bottle and t-shirt - say thank you to The Edge. Thanks again

Thanks for a great event yesterday, well orginised, well marked out, very helpful marshals, great scenery and great weather, but Im still trying to figure out how you can start in one place cycle 40km uphill and end up in the same place?
Just a quick note to say a big thanks to you and the Monster Mac Team. It was my first adventure race and I really enjoyed it (even if my legs still hurt!). I wasn't quite sure what to expect coming up to Millstreet but I found everybody associated with the event very welcoming and friendly. I think you did a brilliant job and I would have no hesitation recommending to friends.
"Thanks guys... superb organising Marie, you even got the waether right!! I like the idea of checking out the splits for each event done, shows me where I have to concentrate for next years MAC!"
